Well, this is my last blog until my trip. My plane leaves in 8 hours, and I would love to be sleeping right now! I have to wake up at 3:15am to get to the airport at a good time! My wonderful Shaner is driving me so early in the morning!
Thanks for everything guys! Thanks for your support, prayers and financial help! God has gone beyond my expectations for providing for this trip! Please pray for me throughout this time! My team and I could use all the prayer we can get!
I really am excited! I am excited what God is going to do in my heart! I am excited to see another area of the Kingdom and another culture of worshippers! I am a little nervous about what to say. I guess it is silly but......I just don't feel like I know exactly what to share with others. I know that it will all come and that God gives us the words to say. Thank the Lord!
Well, take care all! Enjoy the rest of your summer and see you at the end of August!

It is nearing 1am and I just can't get tired enough to sleep. I was lying in bed for the past hour and it's just not going anywhere! I'm actually feeling a little ill! Hopefully it's momentarily! Please God, keep me healthy! It sure would be a bad time to get sick, especially since I never do! I thought maybe staring at this screen would make me tired!
I had my last shift at work today, until after my trip! Now it is really happening! I worked like a horse this shift and had a bunch of motivation because I knew it was my last for a few weeks! 2 days and 5 hours until I leave! I'm getting more and more excited! I know everything will get done before I go! I am trying to work out some student aid stuff with the student aid people and my dad. I really want this stuff settled before I go, so that I don't have to worry about not having money for September! Except a major praise report is that I can pretty much pay almost all my tuition with the money that was supposed to go towards my trip, because of my generous friends and family and ultimately, Jesus!
Talk to you all after a good nights sleep! Though I really don't feel much more tired! I'll try to drift off!

4 days and I'll be flying Toronto to Miami at this time! Unfortunately I've made myself a little on the busy side until I go! Ahhh! Why do I pack so much stuff in! I just wanted to get some nice relational coffees in with my friends and family before I leave. My coffee with my mom was really nice! We went to the lounge in the Fort Garry Hotel! I really enjoyed our time together! It is so good that no matter what kind of times you go through or issues that may arise, my mom will always be my mother, I will always be her daughter and we will always love one another. That's comforting and makes everything kinda alright.
My roomie left me last night! She flew off to Florida this morning and by the time I get to Florida after my trip to El Salvador, she will have left for home 3 days prior=( We aren't going to see each other for probably a month! Except that school starts in a month yesterday! Oh my goodness! It is coming so soon! I'm slowly warming up to the idea of going at it again, but with probably more umph! than ever. Third year, I have heard from many is the toughest! But I will try to work my butt off, still have time to live, love and breathe, and I will succeed!
My baby sister is now living at my appartment. She is going to be living here while Christina and I are gone for the month of August. She hopefully will hear word about her appartment this week and then she'll go from there! She started her new job today and I felt all motherly helping her get prepared last night. My mom would say a blessing over us kids each morning as we were leaving for school. Then when I didn't live at home anymore and became a student again, she bought a plaque that said the blessing so that I could read it and hear her saying it over me. So, I was half asleep this morning when Steph left for work, but I said to her from the depths of sleep the blessing that my mom would have said had she been here this morning. "May God bless you and keep you. May He cause his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace". I love my family.
Well, I must get to the shower because I am going out with Sarah and Jeanette before work. I especially had to see Sarah before she goes back to B.C or I'll miss the chance until Christmas!
Take care all! And enjoy the rain!

Well, I'm done my weekend of working nights! My poor and confused body is doing quite well. I'm pleasantly surprised! Supposedly shift work (probably mainly nights) is one of the risk factors for heart disease. I can see why! It screws up your poor system! You are sleeping and eating at all the wrong times!
Well, my Shaner came over tonight and we had a nice evening relaxing and our favorite, a trip to 7-11 for 5 cent candies and then a walk around the neighborhood! I love my boy!
6 days until I fly away! It is becoming such a reality! I have about half of my stuff packed already and I have lists coming out of everywhere....my OCDs emerging. I am really excited to travel, go on an airplane again, meet totally new people and be in a different culture! I am really excited that I am doing this on my own! I love the independant feeling! I had this feeling when I went to California with a group from Kelowna in '98! I didn't know anyone and it was quite an experience....with pros and cons! I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to do this! I could squeal!
I am going out for coffee with my mom tomorrow! She called me today and wanted to have coffee before I leave! She totally initiated and I am touched. I hope that we have a really nice time! I think I'll take her to Three Sisters Teahouse on Provencer! She'd like that! I went home on wednesday of last week to say good-bye to my house...mom will be all moved out by the time that I return. I'm sad, but it helped to walk through the house and verbally say good-bye to each and every room, cupboard, closet, etc. Kinda healing and releasing...
I am praying that all goes well with registering for third year classes this wednesday! I hope that I get all the classes that I need and in the right slots! It's important so that I can fit everything in! Please say a prayer!
Well, I just needed to update! Have a wonderful night! I think I'll hit the hay early tonight! I actually get to sleep during the night tonight, but I have to get up at 5:15am to work the day shift! Oh...responsibility.............what can I say?

It has been a little while since I last was on here! 8 days until I leave for my trip! It is getting so much more of a reality because I'm leaving in a week tomorrow!!! I am getting really excited! And a little nervous that I won't remember anything about nursing since I had my last exams in April! Hopefully I remember even the basics! Today I got a package in the mail from Global Health Outreach. I got a shirt that we all will be wearing, and other such important and last minute things/info.
I have been so blessed by a bunch of my friends and family! My trip is paid for! Thank-you Jesus! This way I'll hopefully be able to take care of school with that money! Not everyone's donations are in yet, so I don't know exactly where I am at, but I do know that it is taken care of! Thank-you Jesus again!
I'm working nights tonight and I really should pack some more, do some last minute errands tonight and have a nap!
Bless you all!
