Morning! Today I am going home for a visit with my mom and the foster kids. It's actually a good-bye which my heart is scared about. The two little foster boys that we have had for almost 2 years are leaving this week. I know the move is a good one for my family (especially my siblings) but I can't help but feel that I'm partly responsible for the breaking of their hearts and somewhat ruining of their lives. I'm afraid of the next day or so because I'm afraid of that awful, sick, grieving feeling. I pray that instead this will be a good, bonding but closing time in which I will see through God's eyes in this circumstance. It is the end of a season and our family really needs this change. I just still feel awful.

Top of the evening all! Well the day is coming to a close. I had a pretty nice day all in all! Church was fun and a little different from the regular which is refreshing! We had only worship, no message and a potluck. I quite enjoyed it! I especially liked the fellowshipping during the potluck! You sometimes just don't get the chance to chat with people from church other times in the week!
Well, I spent the evening with my sick boyfriend and it was sweet quality time! I guess I sound sappy but I must boast. I had the hardest time making a decision of what to do with my evening because on one hand I had a sick boyfriend (and you know how people are when they are sick...wanting a little TLC) and on the other a worship community gathering which I was really wanting to go to. I was wrestling with the two options for the afternoon. I thought to myself, if I were sick and Shane could either stay with me or rush off to a meeting/gathering I would REALLY have wanted him to stay. So, I put aside my agenda and made the better choice in the circumstance. I got the treasure out of it. Here comes the boasting...... We had a great time relaxing, watching movies and t.v. and chatting. He was being so sweet! You know all the sweet things that a girl loves. He brushed my hair, rubbed my back (even though only for 60 seconds) and told me countless "I love you"s. I'm probably embarassing him by writing this blog. And I'm probably grossing all of you out, so my boasting ends there! I just had to brag because it's not every day that you choose the better thing to do and get nice consequences for doing so!

Well, this blogging thing has become quite the little fad. I finished my crazy and ridiculous week of school (week 3 before finals), and now I think I just might have time to think again and perhaps blog a little! I want to try this thing out because I'm learning so much about others from their blogs! I guess it's time to show my face. Well, I'm going to one of my nursing friends' wedding socials with my totally great roommate in the next hour and so I think I'll spill my heart to God for a bit, before we have to go. I'm a little on the sad side this evening because my heart is breaking for a friend of mine.....it is sometimes so hard to love someone, pray for someone and carry them in your heart. A wise woman said to me today "Kristi, you can't take the responsibility. People make choices for themselves". These were definitely words that I needed to hear. I want to do something when something is out of right. For example, yesterday I was busing home from date night with Shane. I took him to the Manitoba Moose game and we each had to bus our seperate ways home (busing sucks big time, especially at times like these!). There was a drunk man on my bus and that just doesn't make me feel all together comfortable. I wasn't too freaked out though, just aware. He proceeded to ask a man sitting by a young mother and her young son to move to the back and if he would this the intoxicated man would give him $5. I began to prepare for a holy war and could feel my back rising like a cat and my nails growing a bit each minute. I was ready to take the guy out! He wanted to sit near the child specifically, from what I could understand. I could only imagine the insecurity the young mother felt at 10:30pm with a young son, alone, on a city bus. The man also approached two slightly challenged adults on the bus who were extremely uncomfortable by his presence and intrusion into their space. Again, I was feeling so protective of the vulnerable people on the bus that I was ready to put myself on the line to protect these others. I want to protect the unprotected and love the unlovable. I suppose I just have to learn when to just sit and pray and let God do the rest. In the area of my beloved friend, I suppose I must pray like I've never prayed before and trust that God will do His will in His timing. Boy, is that sometimes difficult.
